November Update

It’s full steam ahead for the ROC community as we push toward the end of the semester. In my mind, it’s still the second week of the September, but the colder weather and students making plans for Thanksgiving break remind me that things are wrapping up here. Speaking of Thanksgiving, I am really looking forward to our first “Friendsgiving” tomorrow night at Crosswalk. I am making the turkey (pray for our students) and everyone else is carrying in sides and desserts for this special night, as we celebrate as a community all the things we are thankful for and the many ways that God has blessed us.

There have been a lot of big changes happening in the ROC community this fall. Our staff and students have been working extra hard to improve our online presence and visibility. Our very own student org president, Noelle Mash, has completely redesigned our website. If you haven’t already, make sure to check it out at I think you’ll be impressed by what you find. As you scroll down the page, you may notice that our students have started a weekly podcast where they discuss issues relating to faith on a college campus. Again, I’d strongly encourage you to give these a listen; I know you’ll be impressed and encouraged by what they have to share. You can find the podcast on the ROC web page and Spotify (search for “Reach Out on Campus”) and coming soon on iTunes.

In addition to all these great technological strides, we’ve worked hard to make giving easier for you! We have recently partnered with a service called EasyTithe to make online giving painless. This service is simple, it’s free, and it’s a great way to support the ministry of Reach Out on Campus whether you are giving a one-time gift or want to set up a regular giving schedule. You can access EasyTithe from our website under the “Ways to Give” tab or download the EasyTithe app from the App Store or Google Play and search for “Reach Out on Campus” and control your giving from your phone. Of course, if dropping a check in the mail is still the best method of giving for you, we welcome that as well. (Hey, we appreciate the personal touch lol).

All this to say, we are really pushing for a strong end to our fiscal year. Each year we are amazed at the generosity of so many people who love our students and make the ministry of ROC possible. Year-end gifts are certainly an important part of that. If you’ve been considering giving a gift to ROC but have held off until now, we’d greatly appreciate your year-end contribution. Don’t forget, all contributions made to ROC are tax-deductible. If you are already a current donor, we want to say “thank you” for helping make 2019 one of the best ever for our ministry. Truly we appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and support more than you’ll ever know.
